Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
- One of the most anticipated games for Summer 2008.
I'm a die hard fan and have played almost every game since the original Lucasarts TIE Fighter days, and I cant wait for this one!
Here are the details about the game , along with the games trailers and feature wallpaper for all you Star Wars fans!
Background
The game takes place during the period between Episodes III and IV, players hunt Jedi in the role of Darth Vader's Secret Apprentice.
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is the first next-generation game developed internally at LucasArts, and will be available on the Xbox 360 and PS3. Krome Studios are creating an equally enthralling version of The Force Unleashed on the Wii, PS2 and PSP, while n-Space, Inc., is developing a version for the NDS. the PC version requirements are not yet known, but you can count on it being really high.
All versions will feature the same storyline as you would expect.
Game Play
Players will assist the Lord Vader in his quest to rid the universe of Jedi – and face decisions that could change the course of their destiny. As a Secret Apprentice you won't just be using a light saber but "Force Pushing" enemies into walls you will be Force pushing enemies through walls and gripping them in midair, zapping them with lightning, then dropping them to the ground to explode like a bomb.
In addition to new adversaries created just for the game, such as fugitive Jedi and Force-sensitive Felucians, players will also confront and associate with familiar faces from the Star Wars films, including Darth Vader. Visit locations such as Episode III's Wookiee homeworld Kashyyyk and the floral Felucia, the junk planet Raxus Prime, plus an Imperial TIE fighter construction facility. Decisions made by players throughout the game will determine the path of the story, including multiple endings.New Technologies

DMM makes the game environments more interactive and realist. When you hit or trough something at an object it would react as they would in real life. From crumbling walls to shattering glass and even swaying organic plant life, in-game objects have material properties that behave realistically all in real time and without using a single frame of animation.

Enables interactive characters to move, act and even think like actual human beings, adapting their behavior on the fly and resulting in a different payoff every single time.

Wii Fit (
Wii)
Currently available only in Japan, it was launched on the 1st of December and copies were all
sold out in 2 days!
The kit features the
Wii Balance Board which enables gamers to interactively head soccer balls and ski jump while partaking in other activities like yoga and aerobics typically thought to be cigarette-free.

Assassin's Creed (PC)
Ubisoft has done a great job of keeping Assassin's Creed in front of gamers during the run-up to its release, whether by its secrecy about the game's sci-fi storyline, its long-time silence on whether or not it would appear on the
Xbox 360, or by the somewhat controversial decision to set the game in real cities of the Middle East during the Crusades.
Ghostbusters The Video Game (PC,

The game will serve as a direct sequel to the first two Ghostbusters films, with Ramis, Aykroyd,
and Bill Murray all signed on to reprise their roles. When Manhattan is once again overrun by ghosts and other supernatural creatures, players will take on the role of a new recruit joining the famous Ghostbusters team.
Soul Calibur IV (

Namco's Soul Calibur IV has a lot of hype going on. It started with the Sega Genesis release of Soul Edge. The game evolved, developing new guard breaks, tactics, a mass majority of replay value and just the overall content is a thrill. Many are looking forward to the new guest characters present for the
Xbox 360 version in comparison to the
PS3 version and the new fighting style of online gameplay.
Mario Kart (
Wii)
Mario and friends once again jump into the seat of their go-kart machines for the first
Wii
installment of this popular franchise. New features this year are an online racing mode, new motorbike vehicle types, a special balancing system for new and veteran players, and (in its initial release) a special Mario Kart wheel packaged with the game. As of now, Nintendo is still calling this a 16-player online multiplayer endeavor, and the inclusion of motorcycles is still being decided. This could be the best Mario Kart yet.
GTA IV (

Fallout 3 is set in an alternate future, where the imagined nuclear war of the 1950s has occurred, leaving the world scarred and pockets of survivors that hid from the blasts in ‘vaults’ deep underground. The gamer plays from the first person perspective and will slowly build up special talents depending on their favoured style. Although it looks like a first person shooter in the style of Doom or Half Life 2, this is a very different animal, with accuracy dependent on the level of skill rather than the mouse ability of the player.

Metal Gear Solid 4 (

The Postal series continues in this third installment, using the Source Engine from Valve (makers of the popular Half-Life 2 game) is a action horror filled game that promises to deliver a new and advanced technical level of social satire and politically incorrect virtual violence. Yikes!
