How to turn off Data Execution Prevention for an individual program

Execution Prevention () is a feature built into Vista that helps prevent damage from viruses and other threats by monitoring your programs to make sure they use safely.

If you’re trying to use a that’s being blocked from running by this might be able to help.

Warning: Make sure the being blocked is not a virus. Another reason for blocking is because it’s been written so poorly it would make your unstable. Use this at your own risk.

Off for an Individual

1. Open the .

2. Make sure the is in classic view by clicking Classic View in the left pane of the .

3. Open .

4. Click Advanced Settings in the left pane of the window in the .

5. Click the Settings button in the section of the Advanced tab.

6. Click the Execution Prevention tab.

7. Select on for all programs and services except those I select.

8. Check off the you want to not monitor from the list or click the Add button to manually add a to the list.

9. Click OK to save your changes and then restart your .

Note: Some programs will not be able to bypass for reasons that are beyond me.
