There is time in your computing life that your hard drive is working extra hard for no reason, I usually get that, and my computer’s a bit lagging because somehow a certain background process is a hard drive trasher by doing something in which i don’t fully understand why would that certain process do that, we’re friends, I know. But that’s the reason why my computer has a very slow response time as the process overloads the limitations of the hard drive.
Now the here’s a way to detect the process:
# 1
- Click on the Start Button and key in Reliability. Click on the Reliability and Performance Monitor shortcut.
- On the main screen click on the Disk section down arrow to see a list of all processes and the files they are writing or reading from your drives.
- Click on the Read or Write headings to sort all disk operations to identify which process and file is currently using the disk the most.
# 2
- Visit Microsoft’s Sysinternals web site and download Process Explorer.
- After you have started Process Explorer, click on the View menubar item and then Select Columns.
- Click on the Process Performance tab and check:
- I/O Reads
- I/O Read Bytes
- I/O Writes
- I/O Write Bytes
- Hit OK.
- You will now see the new columns listed for each process. To identify what process is killing your hard drive, just look for the process with the highest number of Reads or Bytes.
After you have Identified the process, just kill that process.

The software will move more than 100 of the most popular programs, as well as many others that you may have installed. You have complete control over selecting which programs to transfer, so only the programs you care about will move. The software will alert you if some programs may not be able to transfer, or may not transfer with high confidence. Most security software is not able to transfer due to technical reasons.

Microsoft is advising Windows XP end users to make room for the third and final service pack designed to update the predecessor of Windows Vista by mid 2008, according to the official timetable provided by Microsoft. The move comes as testers of beta builds of XP SP3 have come across an error message when trying to deploy the service pack followed by the failure of the installation. “You do not have enough free disk space on %SystemDrive% to archive the uninstall files,” reads the Service Pack 3 Setup error.
“Additionally, the following error may be logged in the service pack installation log: 8007F02B – STATUS_NOT_ENOUGH_WITH_UNINST. This installation log typically resides in the following location: Drive_Letter:WindowsSvcpack.log. This problem may occur if the free disk space that is available on the computer is insufficient to archive the uninstall files. (The uninstall files are also known as the backup files),” Microsoft revealed. (more…)

After 7 month I discovered that commenting can drive huge but of traffic and I’m saying (plenty). But you have to keep in track of site that you comment on.
Why I’m saying that?
Only with 3 simple comment, jackbook.com a PR5 site drive about 38 visits in 1 month!
How the site do it?
Jackbook strategy is important, he boost comment by applying 2 widgets in the wordpress. The first one is the 10 last comment. The most important is the 5 top commentators. Interested people will make like a competition to take the first 5 positions. Although I easily get it for my 2 blogs (omarabid.blogspot.com and howtosuccesswithblogging.blogspot.com) by putting more than 10 comments.
How much Jackbook drive that day. In 14 hours Jackbook drive 4 visitors. You can say it’s so little sure it’s small.
But think when you find 25 site having the same strategy as Jackbook. you’ll make 100 visitors.
Then why keep in the track?
The 5 top commentator will be reset every week, so our work have to be repeated every week.
The idea is easy it will only take 2 hours of your time every week, but we’ll drive about 700 visitors.
Use it also! You can read the next post, I’ll talk about benefits of this strategy.
